Unity

What’s new

  • We are hosting our own avatars! Be sure to reselect your avatar on Web.

  • The login flow has been simplified for users without accounts.

Bug Fixes

  • The unintended camera-human hybrid representation for view-only users has been fixed.

  • The People Panel wasn’t correctly showing in-space users – that’s been fixed.

Web

What’s new

  • We’re now self-hosting our avatars. Be sure to choose a new one. Custom avatar support will be returning soon!

  • Nodey is now integrated directly into OKO! This powerful, node-based tool allows you to build custom GenAI workflows that turn your OKO cinematic camera captures into production-ready assets, all without leaving the platform.

  • Asset Packs have been renamed to “Packs”, simplifying the naming conventions for future updates.

  • GraphQL queries now execute in parallel for improved load times.

  • The available Gemini models have been updated to reflect the latest versions.

  • The Stereo Flipped property has been added to video components and materials.

  • We now have support for replacing the contents of already uploaded space assets.

  • Cinematic cameras now allow users to enter custom aspect ratios.

Bug Fixes

  • The reflection probe bounding shape now matches the selection.

  • Meshes with Draco compression now load as expected.

  • The permissions for adding chatbot components have been fixed.

  • The default type for audio templates is now Spatial.

  • Video playback resets when switching between the URL and asset source option.

  • Cinematic camera mode no longer loses the WebGL context.

  • We reset the cinematic camera overlay visibility on space load.

Unreal

What’s new

  • We’re now self-hosting our avatars. Be sure to choose a new one in Web!

  • Ready Player Me animations are replaced by new ones.

  • In the previous release, we introduced AI chatbots for OKO Pro creators. This one adds the ability for OKO plugin users to add new AI chatbot components directly from Unreal.

  • Finding OKO components in the Details Panel is now easier – non-OKO components are hidden to avoid confusion.

Bug fixes

  • When adding an Unreal level to an OKO space, the exported GLB asset would sometimes display “pinkish” lightmaps due to incorrect texture compression settings. This has now been fixed, so the correct compression is set automatically when the user uploads the level to an OKO space.

  • We investigated and fixed the cause of a few network disconnections.

  • Components were occasionally sending unnecessary multiplayer updates, causing the dereferencing of some assets from their components. This has now been fixed.

  • Our materials system has been refactored to be more performant, particularly in big spaces.
