Unity
What’s new
-
Gaussian splat modifiers: Take creative control over your point clouds! We’ve added tint and cull support for Gaussian splat modifier volumes, so any colour-grading or cropping of volumetric 3D captures are shown in real time.
Bug fixes
-
Anchored assets stand their ground: Fixed a frustrating issue in anchoring mode where placed 3D assets would suddenly vanish or perform disappearing acts. Anchored objects now remain locked solidly in place where you positioned them.
-
Patient musubi model loading: 3D models undergoing background processing were previously failing to load if opened too quickly. The asset loader now ensures assets load seamlessly without throwing errors.
-
Resilient download retries: Network hiccups happen, but they won't stop your session. Asset downloads that drop midway due to a lost connection are now automatically retried, bringing your assets into the space without needing a manual refresh.
Web
What’s new
-
WebGPU enabled by default: WebGPU is now the default display mode, unlocking enhanced rendering performance when in space.
-
New user experience for entity and component properties: Selecting an entity now displays properties for its child components. You can also click a component directly in 3D space to immediately view its properties in the panel.
-
Depth of field support for Gaussian splats: Rendering of Gaussian splats is now affected by depth of field in cinematic camera mode.
-
Spatial audio for in-space comms: A new space setting enables spatialised audio, so other users’ voices now come directly from their avatar’s position in the space.
Bug fixes
-
Editor icons always face the camera: Fixed icons in editor mode having incorrect orientations.
-
Corrected WebGPU reflections: Reflection probes no longer capture inverted reflections when using the WebGPU backend.
-
No more WebGPU black screens: Deleting a video assigned to a custom material no longer causes an error in WebGPU mode.
Unreal
What’s new
-
Nodey Unreal Sequence node: Added support for loading Unreal Sequences into Nodey.
-
Nodey drag and drop: Introduced drag-and-drop workflow support between Unreal and Nodey.
-
Quota management service: Implemented a new dedicated quota service and updated CSP quota handling.
Bug fixes
-
Animated model thread safety: Fixed a crash during animated model node loading caused by operations running off the game thread.
-
Video playback and error handling: Fixed spaces where videos unexpectedly stopped playing and required a reset, and resolved visibility bugs for video error and incompatibility widgets.
-
Tool version alignment: Synchronized OKO MCP Tools version numbering to align directly with the OKO core release version.
