Unity

What’s new

  • Lots of housekeeping – cobwebs are for haunted houses, not code!

Bug fixes

  • Some configuration settings were outstaying their welcome, but we discovered their unfinished business.

Web

What’s new

  • Static and animated models support a new property that allows them to be assigned as a ‘holdout’. When toggled on, this allows the virtual object to occlude physical objects when viewed in AR mode

    • Currently, this is only compatible with AR mode on the web mobile platform. Interoperable support for the iOS client is in the works.

Bug fixes

  • Icons in map mode were playing hide and seek, but we’ve tracked them down and put an end to the games.

  • Debug visualisation modes were rendering incorrectly, but we’ve set things straight – happy debugging!

Unreal

What’s new

  • Enhanced asset library functionality – you can now rename assets, download them to your desktop and search for them by name.

  • Autosave mechanisms are now disabled when a user enters/is working on a space.

Bug fixes

  • Dragging material overrides onto assets in space caused the plugin to freeze; we’ve turned up the heat, so it’s smooth sailing from here.

  • After some tinkering, hotspots can be successfully added to hotspot groups again.

Known issues

  • A sneaky bug has crept in that results in a crash whenever a user tries the new ‘update asset’ functionality. We’re on the case and plan to have this resolved in the next release.
