Using AR mode in an OKO space

OKO iOS Version 1.8.0 Build 5.42.0.0 running CSP 4.18.0

This article will guide you through the steps of adding anchors to a space and how to experience it in Augmented Reality mode.

Instructions

Augmented reality (AR) mode

When using AR mode, you can see your physical environment overlaid with the virtual content in your space. To ensure the accurate positioning of virtual elements and maintain consistency across users, we utilize anchors. Each anchor represents a position in your physical environment that you want to ‘pin’ virtual content to. More on anchors below.

To enter AR mode, click on the AR icon on the upper right corner of the screen, as shown below.

Once you have selected it, the app will begin its AR calibration process.

Once the calibration is complete, you will see any resolved anchors in your space represented by a 3D transform gizmo, as shown below. It can safely be ignored at this point.

Now if you view the location where you placed your asset, you will see it overlaid with your digital content.

To exit AR mode and return to the digital space, click on the 3D icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
