Installing Unreal Engine

This article will guide you through installing the correct version of Unreal Engine that supports the OKO Unreal Plugin.

Instructions


Head to https://www.unrealengine.com/en-US/download to download the Epic Games installer (you’ll need to download this to access Unreal Engine).

Once downloaded and installed, open the launcher and create or log in to your Epic Games account. You can also use one of the many Single Sign On (SSO) options.

Once logged in, click on the Unreal Engine tab on the left-hand side.

Then, navigate to the Library tab at the top of the screen.

Click the plus (+) icon next to “Engine Versions”.

Then, choose the version of Unreal Engine that you want to install. Make sure it’s the latest version compatible with the OKO Unreal Plugin. 

To check what this version is, download the OKO Unreal Plugin via https://app.oko.live/downloads and click on the Unreal Engine button.

When the file downloads, open it, navigate to the UPLUGIN file named OKO, and open it with Notepad. In this file, you will find the “Engine Version”. You can also use the search function (Cmd+F) to find this within the file. The number shown here is the version of Unreal Engine the OKO Plugin currently supports.

Head back to the Epic Installer, and select the correct version of Unreal Engine.
