What’s new
Avatar Visibility: Ever wished you had an invisibility cloak? Well, we don’t have that, but we do have the next best thing! The app will now respect your avatar settings if you choose to be an invisible viewer.
Comments: What’s real-time collaboration without the ability to leave snarky notes to your coworkers? Never fear, comments are here!
Bug fixes
Objects viewed in AR mode were refusing to be selectable, but the power is back at your fingertips.
Super long search terms would overflow offscreen and be impossible to remove. We have constrained and made them scrollable for their (and our) own good.
Web
What’s new
Allow people to enter an instanced version of your space thanks to our new visitor setting! When enabled, visitors will be able to enter the space alone or share a link to their version of the space to invite friends.
The long-awaited return of comments! We’ve been busy refactoring the comments system to ensure smooth communication between creators.
Bug fixes
We occasionally witnessed spaces preventing users from entering and enjoying the space content despite having the correct permissions, but don’t worry that issue has now been squashed.
When attempting to select ‘Load More’ in the asset tab, creators experienced errors that failed to display any content. This issue is now a thing of the past so you can bask in the glory of all space assets!
The new model for cinematic cameras is no longer offset and aligns correctly with the gizmo.
Unreal
What’s new
Dude, where’s my space? Easily locate what space you’re in thanks to a handy green dot that will appear next to the space name.
Bug fixes
Unreal users would cause text components to reset to their original size/ colour/orientation, and text contents when entering a space. Now, after some tinkering, text components are unaffected and Unreal users are welcome into spaces with open arms.
The new GLTF importer would throw unpredictable errors and crashes when users attempted to exit a space while downloading site models. While we work on a longer-term fix, we have blocked exit functionality until all assets have loaded.
