Unity

What’s new

  • Space Details UI: As part of our ongoing effort to improve our UX experience, we’ve updated how space details appear. The window is full screen now and you can swipe to move quickly between details and sharing.

Bug fixes

  • Mesh Collision: Mesh collision support is back! No more falling through floors!

  • Fiducial Markers: Turn any asset into a marker with a few taps of a button!

  • Navigation: The controls would get a bit gummed up in geolocated spaces, but we gave them some love and they’re right as rain now.

  • Material Rendering: Our LOD system wasn’t playing nice with certain materials, but it's been shown the error of its ways.

Web

What’s new

  • E-commerce and ticketed access functionality can now be enabled during the flow for space creation. Once complete, users are prompted to follow the additional steps to finish the configuration for the enabled features.

Bug fixes

  • Smooth entry to ticketed spaces: we’ve squashed a bug that caused users to get stuck in an endless cycle of entering ticket details that prevented access to ticketed spaces.

  • The button components have straightened up their act - entered text correctly populates in the centre of the button once more.

  • Mesh colliders: scaling in-space entities with collider components would result in mismatched results, but now unity has been restored and colliders inherit the same scale value.

Unreal

What’s new

  • This release see’s the introduction of a new and improved GLTF importer! The new importer is enabled by default, with the legacy importer being accessible by amending a flag in the Project Settings (found under 'OKO- Editor Extensions - Experimental').

    • When changing the selected importer an engine restart is required.

  • New avatar meshes! Meshes for AR and Creator avatars have had an OKO style makeover.

  • Return of the loading bar! Packaged builds are now able to support loading bars for in space content once again.

Bug fixes

  • Reflection components: Reflection captures weren’t playing nice when uploaded via the reflection component, but now everything works smoothly and users are able to view its effects

  • Let there be (different types of) light! Light components were being stubborn and defaulting to point lights - we’ve hashed things out and now users can view and set all light types (point, spot, and directional)

  • Custom materials weren’t appearing in space due to the Parent Materials Table in Project Settings defaulted to ‘null’.
