OKO 2023.07

Date: 17th July 2023

Client versions: Unity 1.1.0, Web RC 2.9.2, Unreal OKO Plugin Build number 95742

Here's what's new in this release for Unreal OKO plugin

  • Users now can resolve a comment, which allows editors to remove a comment from appearing in a space while still being able to view it in the comment summary view with a new and improved ‘Resolved’ status. See this video on resolving comments in UEEE.

  • Editor Extension improvements have been made so that when a user copies, pastes, or performs other shortcuts concerning assets in OKO, they get a warning that this action cannot be performed, rather than the Editor crashing.

Major bugs we’ve fixed…

  • Avatars are now properly possessed.

  • Resolved script deletion odd behaviors between clients in interop test, including lead election issues and UEEE crash.

  • Fixed issue with calls to GetAssetById not passing required AssetCollectionId.

Here's what's new in this release for OKO Web

  • Fly mode is a tool for editors to be able to adjust both the translation and orientation of the camera, and while it functions well for users with a mouse this wasn’t an option for trackpad users…until now! Users with trackpads now receive visual feedback that indicates to them that they have fly mode enabled.

WASD+QE are pressed together

A new ‘numerical speed indicator’ will be displayed to give immediate feedback on the rate at which the camera moves.

2

This will allow an editor to enter/exit fly mode. This ensures that entering fly mode is always a conscious action taken by the user

These changes have also boosted the space reload time by 40-90% depending on the device used. This also reduces the app’s memory footprint, leading to a better and speedier experience for our users.

  • The Creator Camera model in Unity has been fixed to display correctly.
