Asset Library
To access the Asset Library, simply click on it in the bottom ribbon, and the Library will appear.
The Space Library shows all the pre-existing assets in your Library.
Next to the Space Library, there are “Packs”. These are the Primitive Assets already available to you, as shown below.
Uploading assets
Returning to the Space Library, click on the “+” icon. This will open upload options.
The first upload option is images.
You can access your Photo Library and upload images in the space, as long as the file format is JPEG or PNG.
Open your Photo Library and select your image.
Next up is the file upload. You can search for files on your device and upload them to your space. OKO supports GLB files.
Now, you can upload assets by using the Object Capture option.
Using Object Capture, take pictures of your object from many different angles to fully capture it. This way, the system can generate a 3D model of the object using photogrammetry.
Next, you have the option to use Hockney Mode. This will open a camera feed.
When taking a photo it will generate a 2D image in the space of the respective photo. You can take as many pictures as you like, and overlay them to create a collage inspired by the artist David Hockney.
Lastly, you can upload Holocap files or virtual holograms. These are both full 3D asset captures.
Add the files for your Holocap here.
Upload those files as requested by the app.
Observe the Holocap asset moving in real-time.
These are all the asset upload options. Upload according to your preference.
Moving, rotating, and scaling assets
To translate assets you first need to load one in your space. Under Asset Library, select an asset to drag and drop in the space. Press and hold to select the asset.
You’ll see the asset highlighted. You can use one finger to move your asset around the space.
To resize, unlock the scaling feature by tapping ':' in the upper right corner.
Use two fingers to resize and move the asset.
Using two fingers, you can rotate the asset in any direction.
If you would like to delete the asset from the space, return to “:” on the upper right, and select “Delete”.
You have successfully learnt how to add an asset in a space in the OKO app.
